Yvonne Spearing was born in Hertfordshire and studied art at St Albans School of Art. Following graduation, she went on to teach art for many years at boarding schools across the UK. She later married and settled in Perthshire, where she began her favourite job, teaching part-time at Fairview School for children and young people as an art specialist - for 11 very happy years.
 

Yvonne's work reflects nature with a focus on animals and wildlife. She uses expressive painting technics to capture the character and nature of the animals she paints. Yvonne enjoys experimenting with different media and embraces the freedom of expression without conformity to rigid teaching techniques. Her present interests are birds, nests and eggs.
