Helen Gallogly is a textile designer and maker, specialising in printed textile pieces and products for interiors. She enjoys finding relationships between varied interests, ranging from ghost stories and folk tales to botanical life, animal life, taxidermy, museum collections, architecture and archaeology. Her work also extends to theatre and costume.
Helen studied Constructed Textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone College in Dundee, graduating in 2002. She has worked to develop her practice, making and exhibiting work throughout gallery venues and markets in Scotland. Design clients include Hallmark Cards and Tiger Print. In 2014, Helen became the textile artist for the Outlander TV series, working for four seasons to design, print and paint various fabrics for principal characters in the series.
