RADIATOR
Mid morning.  A dead time.  Cold pearly light falling on a piece.  Doubtful, unfinished.  All thoughts muddled and foggy.  I hold a cup of tea.  Radiator has my back.  He glows with constant, friendly encouragement.  Positive in his heat as patterns and shapes emerge. Glowing here, rising there, crackled, irradiating.  I turn towards his small fierce warmth and start on something new and immediate.  I turn to his positive energy, his optimism, his stoicism in times of misgiving and risk.  ‘All shall be well’ said Julian of Norwich.  ‘All shall be well and all manner of things shall be well’.  So I take courage and plunge on with my brush and scissors revealing hopeful thoughts buried within the depths.
